A male patient in his mid-thirties was admitted to our hospital with a cauliflower-like growth on his glans penis. In a former clinic, he was treated with Imiquimod cream for condyloma acuminata (CA) for one month to treat those warts. The tumor was rapidly growing and increasing. He underwent an incisional biopsy of the tumor at the Toho University Omori Medical Center. Histopathological examination of the tumor revealed CA. The tumor on the surface of the glans penis was excised and electrocauterized at the Tokyo-Shinagawa hospital. Histopathological examination revealed a verrucous carcinoma (VC) of the penis with no underlying stroma. TNM classification was TaN0M0. He was then placed on bleomycin ointment, an adequate amount of which was rubbed on the lesion once a day for three consecutive months. The occasional appearance of warts at the dorsal distal prepuce prompted a circumcision six months after the bleomycin treatment. The terms VC, BLT, and GCA are considered to be synonymous. This disease has a favorable prognosis. In previous cases, complete resection of the lesions was done through a partial penectomy. However, preservative treatment should be done initially because penile VC is a good prognostic tumor that lacks nuclear atypia and has a low incidence of metastasis.
